The village of Rogozinino is located 135 versts from Vladimir and 15 versts from Pereslavl-Zalessky. In the census books of 1678, it is listed under Vasily Vysheslavtsev, and there is also mention of the vacant land of the Assumption Church. In 1705, P.V. Vysheslavtsev built a wooden church on this land, which was consecrated in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church had a priest, a deacon, and a prosphora baker.

In 1776, the landowner Emelyan Vasilyevich Kardovsky began the construction of a stone temple on the site of the wooden church. The chapel was completed in 1781, and the main church in 1783. This church is still active today. It has two altars: in the cold part in honor of the Meeting of the Lord and in the warm chapel in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The church is well equipped with utensils, a vestment room, holy icons, and liturgical books. The church documents, including copies of the metric books from 1800 and confession lists from 1801, are kept intact. Since 1884, a special clergy has been operating at the church, consisting of a priest and a psalmist. Their maintenance is provided by income from arable and haymaking land amounting to 132 rubles, interest capital of 156 rubles, and services and sacramental fees totaling 335 rubles, approximately 630 rubles per year. The houses for the clergy members belong to the church, with 200 rubles allocated for their repair, and heating is provided by landowner Kardovsky. The parish includes the village of Rogozinino and the village of Osurova, where the clerical records list 163 men and 174 women. A church parish school also operates in the village.
