According to a local resident, the bell tower in the village has been preserved thanks to the efforts of the residents who "defended it from the Soviet authorities." The church was dismantled for bricks for the needs of the collective farm, but the bell tower was left due to public pressure. However, there were later attempts to blow up the remaining structure, and a corresponding order was even issued by the local authorities. Nevertheless, the "destructive" decree was not carried out, as the locals once again stood up to protect their bell tower. Their efforts were successful, and the bell tower has been well preserved to this day.
