In the early 17th century, the villages were owned by V. Golovtsyn. When his daughter Anna Vasilievna married V. A. Nashchokin, a descendant of the famous military leader and diplomat A. L. Ordin-Nashchokin, Shishkino passed to him as a dowry. V. A. Nashchokin, who participated in the war between Russia and Turkey, was close to the royal court. When he had a son, it was planned to name him Dormidont. However, Empress Elizabeth Petrovna agreed to be his godmother and named him Voina, in honor of his ancestor, diplomat Voina Afanasyevich Ordin-Nashchokin, son of Afanasy Lavrentyevich. V. A. Nashchokin left biographical notes, which were published in 1845. Near Shishkino, there used to stand a wooden Church of the Transfiguration, and in 1749, a stone church was built in its place, after which the village began to be called Novopreobrazhensky.
