The village of Troitskoye Tatarovo is located 27 versts from the district town of Vyazniki and 105 versts from Vladimir. Until 1764, it belonged to the Trinity-Sergius Monastery. According to the scribal books of Suzdal district from 1628-1630, the village was already assigned to the Trinity Monastery. At that time, there was a wooden church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary built by the monastery. The church had a priest, a deacon, a sexton, and a prosphora-baker, and the priest had three cells for the poor in his yard. The village also had a monastery courtyard, a cattle yard, a bee yard, a carpenter's yard, five peasant households, and eight poor households.

According to the census books of 1678, there was also a monastery courtyard in Tatarovo where clerks lived, sent for the census from the Trinity-Sergius Monastery. At that time, Tatarovo was the administrative center of the extensive Trinity estate, which included 49 settlements with 459 peasant households and 45 poor households, where 1808 men lived. No information has survived about the reconstructions of the wooden church in the 17th and 18th centuries.

In 1802-1804, a stone church was built on the site of the old wooden church in Tatarovo, which still exists today. The church has two altars: the main one in honor of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary and a warm chapel in the name of St. Sergius of Radonezh. Above the main altar rises a canopy on four columns. The church is well supplied with utensils, a sacristy, holy icons, and liturgical books. Among the icons, the Smolensk icon of the Mother of God, two Vladimir icons of the Mother of God, and the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow," adorned with silver vestments, stand out.

The church staff includes a priest and a psalmist, with their maintenance amounting to about 300 rubles a year from various sources. The priest's house is public, while the psalmist's is private, both built on peasant land. The parish includes the village of Novoye Tatarovo and the villages of Nagornovo, Kokino, Lukino, Gavrikhi, Nikitino, Napalikha, Polyany, and Sosnovki, where the clerical records list 317 men and 360 women. There is also a zemstvo public school operating in the village.
