In the books of the Patriarchal Treasury from 1628, there is a mention of the "Church of the Nativity of Christ in the village of Luchinsk," located in the estate of the boyar Prince Dmitry Mikhailovich Pozharsky, a notable figure of the Time of Troubles. Luchinsk is one of the lesser-known estates of Prince Pozharsky. In 1652, the Church of the Nativity had four altars: the Nativity of Christ, the Wisdom of God Sophia, Archangel Michael, and Saint Nicholas of Myra. Until the 1860s, the church was wooden. In 1861, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, the current stone church with a stone bell tower and fence was built. The main altar is consecrated in honor of the Nativity of the Mother of God, and the warm chapels in the refectory are dedicated to the Nativity of Christ and Saint Modest, Archbishop of Jerusalem. The clergy included a priest and a psalmist.
