In the vast expanses of the Suzdal Opolie, the ancient village of Klementyevo is comfortably situated. In the past, it belonged to the Moscow Novodevichy Monastery, which was gifted to it by Prince Mikhail Kubensky. This was documented in the "royal charter of non-judicial grant to the Moscow Novodevichy Monastery" dated April 2, 1662, which mentions: "in Vladimir district, in Opolsky stan, the village of Klementyevskoye with its villages, which Prince Mikhail Kubensky gave to the abbess and her sisters."

As for the church, the first wooden temple in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker is mentioned here since 1628. The current brick church in honor of the Transfiguration of the Lord with a chapel dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker was built in 1796 on the site of the old wooden one. In 1807, it was reconsecrated in honor of the Intercession of the Holy Virgin, and a second chapel in honor of Archangel Michael was added. The refectory with the bell tower was erected in 1882.

The central part of the refectory's facade features an original design. On each side, the projections are adorned with domes topped with crosses. The spacious refectory has long stood without a roof and is increasingly deteriorating each year. Inside the bell tower, fragments of paintings have been preserved. The tall bell tower with an iron spire framework is a dominant feature of the landscape for many kilometers. The Intercession Church was closed in the 1930s and was used as a warehouse for a long time. Later, the building was abandoned. On December 27, 1999, the parish of the Holy Intercession Church of the village of Klementyevo was registered.
