In the late 18th and early 19th centuries, thanks to the efforts of Metropolitan Platon Levshin of Moscow, the monastery was surrounded by a stone wall with towers. Under his guidance, the monastery gradually transformed, shaping its architectural appearance.

The new stone church, built above the northern gates of the monastery, was consecrated in honor of the holy apostles Peter and Paul. This was not a coincidence, as the heavenly patron of Metropolitan Platon, who was baptized with the name Peter, was Apostle Peter.

Architecturally, the church was a two-story building with a single protruding altar semicircle, topped with a bell-shaped roof with a drum and dome. The first floor was used for household needs, while the second housed the church itself. The interior decoration of the church was finally completed by the mid-19th century.

In 1850, thanks to the efforts of builder Hieromonk Georgy, a carved gilded iconostasis was installed, with two rows of icons, local and festive, made in the Greek style. The altar and walls of the church were also painted. That same year, the church was consecrated by the monastery's abbot, Hieromonk Georgy, with the blessing of Metropolitan Filaret of Moscow and Kolomna. In September 1895, under builder Hieromonk Gavriil, repairs began on the Peter and Paul Church. Wooden floors and ceilings were replaced with brick vaults, and the floors were covered with parquet. In 1896, a two-story house was built near the northern gates of the monastery, adjacent to the Peter and Paul Church, where in 1906 the brotherhood cells were located.

In this building, the first residents of the revived Holy Trinity Monastery settled in 1993. The Peter and Paul Church became the first functioning church in the monastery.
