The village of Troitskoye-Nikolskoye is located 6 versts from Kovrov and 60 versts from Vladimir. In this village, the church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker has stood for a long time, first mentioned in patriarchal books in 1628 as "the church of Nicholas the Wonderworker in the village of Troitskoye, the estate of Prince Roman Pozharsky." In 1672, it was transferred to the Suzdal Archbishop. In the 17th-18th centuries, the church was wooden and had one altar, with a wooden bell tower.

In 1796, with the funds of parishioners, a stone church was built in place of the wooden one, also with one altar, consecrated in honor of St. Nicholas. At the same time, a wooden bell tower on a stone foundation was erected. The church has survived to this day but has undergone significant changes. In 1854, a stone bell tower was built instead of the wooden one, in 1857 a warm chapel in honor of Sergius of Radonezh was added, and in 1860 the altar of the cold church was updated, a new iconostasis was installed, and the Nicholas altar was consecrated. In the same year, a building for the sacristy was constructed near the bell tower. In 1868, the church and its fence were enclosed with a stone wall, in 1869 the iconostasis in the warm church was gilded, and in 1870 the walls of both churches were painted with sacred images. The church has two altars: in the cold part in honor of Nicholas the Wonderworker and in the warm chapel in the name of Sergius of Radonezh.

The church houses an ancient icon of St. Nicholas, which, according to tradition, was gifted by Prince Dmitry Mikhailovich Pozharsky after 1612. It is adorned with silver, gold, and precious stones. Church documents, including copies of metric books from 1803 and confession lists from 1829, are preserved intact. An inventory of church property was compiled in 1880. The church owns buildings, five stone chapels, and two wooden entrance chapels. It is also associated with the Church of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity in the same village.

According to the staff, the church has a priest and a psalmist, receiving 442 rubles a year. Their houses are located on church land. The parish includes the village and the villages of Chernevo, Melekhovo, Fedotovo, Muravyovo, Babenki, and the hamlet of Petrovskoye, all within 5 versts from the church. The parish has 120 households, 368 men, and 412 women. In the village of Fedotovo, a folk school has been operating since 1876, funded by merchant Ivan Smirnov.

On April 30, 2016, the cross of the bell tower and five small bells were consecrated and then installed. Currently, the middle part of the temple has been restored, the roof has been repaired, windows have been installed, and interior finishing has been completed. Services are held in the temple.
