The village of Mogilitsy was located 171 versts from Tver and 60 versts from Kashin. To this day, only the cemetery remains from the village, situated between the villages of Solovtsy and Aleshino.

In the village, there was a stone Nicholas church built in 1855, with one altar in honor of Saint Nicholas. There was also a wooden church erected in 1653, with three altars: the central one in honor of Saint Nicholas, the left one for Great Martyr Nikita, and the right one for the Holy Martyrs Flora and Lavra. Among the church documents were an inventory from 1841, metric books, and confession records from 1841, as well as a land ownership plan.

In 1901, the church was served by priest Vladimir Mikhailovich Lebedev, 27 years old, who graduated from the theological seminary and became a priest in 1899, and psalmist Nikolai Gavrilovich Smerdinsky, 29 years old, who had held the position since 1895. The parishioners were residents of the villages of Solovtsy, Gavrilovo, and Filippovo, totaling 52 households.

By 1914, the church was served by priest Pyotr Zykov, 42 years old, a graduate of the teacher's seminary with 18 years of service experience, 4 of which were in the Nicholas church, and psalmist Iustin Talizin, 50 years old, who had served for 13 years, 6 of which were in this church. The parishioners included 181 men and 203 women from the villages of Solovtsy, Gavrilovo, and Filippovo.

The churches have not survived to this day.
