The construction of the church in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity in the village of Kazakovo began in 1833 on the site of the old wooden Trinity church, which was abolished. The church was completed in 1841, and the construction of the bell tower began in the same year. From July 9, 1829, the wooden Trinity church was served by priest Nikita Alexeev Zagorsky.

The modern church, built in 1841, was erected with the funds of parishioners and the church treasury. In the same year, at the request of priest Nikita Zagorsky, the church was consecrated.

The church had three altars dedicated to the abolished churches, as well as a stone chapel in the village of Zvyagino, built by peasants to house icons during public prayers. The main altar is dedicated to the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, while the side altars are dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker and Saint Demetrius of Thessalonica. The clergy staff included two priests, one deacon, and two church clerks and sextons.

According to the scribal books of the Murom district from 1674, there was a wooden Nicholas church with a tent roof in the village of Kazakovo. Therefore, the feast day in the village is still considered Nicholas Day, although at different times there were single-altared churches here: Nicholas, Dmitrievskaya, and Trinity.

During the Soviet years, the church was closed. However, over time, the believing residents of the village created a community and registered it with the regional Council of People's Deputies. They requested the transfer of the building of the Trinity church, and on March 19, 1990, the Council for Religious Affairs under the Council of Ministers of the USSR granted this request. The building again belonged to the believers, and this day can be considered the second birthday of the Trinity church.

Upon the registration of the parish, the former Trinity church, which had served for 150 years, was registered as "Orthodox parish of the church in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker." This was likely done based on the manuscript of local historian V. A. Vorobyov, although there are documents in the archives of the Vachsky district, including records from the metric books of the Trinity church of the village of Kazakovo.
