The warm church is built in the traditions of typical Suzdal urban architecture. The narrow elongated space of the church with low vaults unites the apse, the main volume, and the refectory into a single space. The church has a small northern chapel. During the Soviet era, the building was used as a cement warehouse, which left shapeless masses that rose to the level of the window sills. By the 1980s, the wooden completion of the main volume had survived, allowing for an assessment of its shape and roofing. Now, nothing remains of that completion; among the weeds on the ground, decayed remnants of the planks and roofing are visible. There is a possibility that the Nikolskaya church was carefully measured, as it was a planned object in the complex of churches in the village of Yesiplevo under the guidance of architect M.M. Subbotina. Currently, the church is completely abandoned and is actively deteriorating.
