Everyone entering the village immediately notices the Church of Archangel Michael, standing on top of a hill. Below it, a spring, which gave the village its name Bely Klyuch, is barely visible now. According to legend, the spring unexpectedly began to flow over 150 years ago, and soon shepherds discovered an icon of Archangel Michael here.

Father Anatoly, the current rector of the church, shared that the wooden building was constructed with the funds of parishioners 130 years ago, in 1877. Archive data reveals that the church had two altars: the main one in honor of Archangel Michael and a side altar in honor of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. In 1935, the church was closed, the bell tower was destroyed, and the bells were thrown to the ground and melted down. Locals took the icons home, but not all could be saved: many were burned, along with all Orthodox books. The building itself was repurposed into a village club.

In the early 1980s, at a meeting of residents, it was decided to restore the church, but permission from Moscow was required. The villagers appealed to the capital twice, and only on the third attempt did they receive a positive response. On September 20, 1989, the church was reopened, becoming the eighth active church in the Ulyanovsk region.
