The wooden church in the village was built by the efforts of the parishioners in 1778 and had one altar dedicated to Archangel Michael. The priest lived in a wooden house constructed by the parishioners, while the deacon and church attendants had their own wooden houses on church land. The Ascension Church in the village of Golovkino was located about 5 km away. The Mikhailo-Archangel Church stored copies of the metric books from 1780 and confession lists from 1829.

The priest was Pyotr Konstantinovich Yakhontov, ordained by Archbishop Anatoly in May 1840. Interestingly, for converting five peasants of the landowners Naumov from the schism of the Spasov agreement to Orthodoxy, he was thanked by the Simbirsk Spiritual Consistory on June 37, 1846. Serving as deacon since 1844 was Kozma Gerasimov Arkhangelsky, who had previously worked for three years in Cherdakly. The church clerk was Nikolai Platonov, who remained in Kremyonki the longest, starting in 1810. He "distinguished himself" by being sent for a month to do hard labor in the Archbishop's house in October 1836 for being drunk during a wedding ceremony in the church. Serving as sexton since 1847 was Vasily Prokofyev Oltaryov, who had previously worked in the Epiphany Church of Stara Mayna since 1834.

Before flooding, around 1954-1955, the Mikhailo-Archangel Church was destroyed, although, like the church in Volostnikovka, it was located on a high bank, and there was no need for this act of vandalism. Locals recount that the church with its 36-meter bell tower could not be demolished, so they dug under the foundation and excavated a three-meter trench along the church, causing it to collapse.

Now, on the site of the Mikhailo-Archangel Church, there stands a wooden chapel built in 2009 with funds from sponsors. Occasionally, a priest from Ivanovka conducts services there.
