The village of Tsarevka was founded in the 1720s by landowners and serfs of Prince Alexander Danilovich Menshikov. This is confirmed by the records of the second revision tale of 1745. In 1743, a wooden church of Archangel Michael was built in Tsarevka with the funds of parishioners and benefactors. The architectural plan of the temple is in the shape of a cross and includes a square base, on which rises a light octagon with an octagonal dome and an onion-shaped spire. On the eastern side, a five-sided altar apse adjoins the main building, and on the western side, a small refectory connected to a three-tiered bell tower, also topped with an onion-shaped spire. Small spires adorn the altar apse and the northern and southern facades. The exterior of the church is clad in planks, painted in white and blue colors, and decorated with carved patterns. In the 1930s, the church was closed, but at the request of the villagers, services resumed in 1945.
