The church is a monument of wooden architecture from the 17th century. After the events of 1612, the village of Yurino was transferred to the hereditary possession of Prince Dmitry Pozharsky. Although the exact date of the church's construction has not survived, it is known that Prince Dmitry built it as his family church.

The area of the church is 440 sq. m. It is entirely wooden and is set on four boulders at the corners. The roof consists of three layers of wood. The altar apse is absent, and the altar is separated from the prayer hall by a partition. Heating is provided by a wood stove. Over time, a cemetery formed around the church, and it became considered a burial church. In the mid-19th century, the church was annexed to the church in the village of Burtsovo. During the Soviet era, the Kazan church was not used and fell into disrepair.

In 2000, it underwent restoration. Employees of the Nizhny Novgorod company 'Restavrator' restored the church to its original appearance, preserving several original crowns in the wooden log structure. Since 2005, services have resumed in the church.

On the territory of the Konevsky rural settlement, there is also a church under construction in honor of Saint Prince Alexander Nevsky in the village of Konevo and a church being restored in honor of the Resurrection of Christ in the village of Burtsovo.
