The stone church with five domes was built in 1724 with funds from parishioners on the site of a wooden church that existed since the early 17th century. The latter can be judged by the clerical books of 1627, 1628, and 1629. The new church was dedicated to the holy martyrs and unmercenaries Cosmas and Damian, with an altar in honor of the holy great martyr Paraskeva, known as Friday. The Kazan church had three altars: the main cold altar was dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God; in the northern cold altar, the holy martyrs Cosmas and Damian; in the warm western part of the church, separated by an arch, Saint Nicholas, Archbishop of Myra in Lycia, the miracle worker. The icon of the Tikhvin Mother of God was particularly venerated in the church. In 1890, a church parish school was opened at the church.

The church was closed in 1932. During the Soviet era, it housed a warehouse, an auto repair shop, and a club. Currently, the church is abandoned.
