The history of the church in Vinnovka dates back to the 1770s when a church was built in the village, consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. In the 1840s, the construction of a new stone church began, initiated by the landowner, Anna Alexeyevna Orlova-Chesmenskaia. The countess lived in Moscow and at her estate near the Yuriev Monastery, so she monitored her holdings in the Volga region from afar. The church was completed in 1851 with public funds, as Anna Orlova-Chesmenskaia sold the land in 1843.

The church in Vinnovka impressed contemporaries with its beauty and elegance. The building was constructed of red brick on a white stone foundation, with cornices made of white stone. The entrance portals were adorned with decorative brickwork, and patterned bricks were used for the framing. The church was plastered and painted on the outside. It consisted of a square base with a semicircular apse, a refectory, and a bell tower. In February 1930, the church was closed by the decision of the Samara Regional Executive Committee, the bells were thrown down and broken, their fragments submerged in the Volga. The church fell into disrepair, and the interior was destroyed. Initially, the building was used as a grain storage facility, then as a dining hall, and later as a stable.

In 2003, with the blessing of Archbishop Sergey, the brotherhood of the Holy Resurrection Men's Monastery from Samara began the restoration of the church. The work started after a procession from the village of Osinovka to Vinnovka on the feast of the Assumption of the Mother of God on August 28. On October 5, 2003, the first Divine Liturgy was held in the ruined church. At that time, the decision was made to create a monastery courtyard, and two years later, the monastery received archiepiscopal status. On April 23, 2006, after 76 years, the first Paschal service was conducted.

On May 7, 2006, Archbishop Sergey celebrated the Divine Liturgy in the church, and a stone was laid in the foundation of the future monastery hotel. On July 21, 2006, the church was consecrated. On December 26, 2006, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church blessed the opening of the Holy Mother of God Kazan Men's Monastery in Vinnovka, Samara Region. The architectural project of the monastery was developed by architect Yuri Ivanovich Kharitonov.

The monastery has three churches: the church in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the church in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh, and the church in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity, consecrated by Metropolitan Sergey and Metropolitan Nektariy on the day of the Holy Trinity in 2014. Finishing works are underway in the gate church in honor of the prophet John the Baptist.
