In the village of Vasilievka, a stone church was built in 1832, with the main altar consecrated in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. The warm chapel is dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church owns 33 acres of land and has a house for the priest. The parish has 1,355 men and 1,324 women. The brick factory for the construction of the church was located at "Dubrovka," between the spring named after St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the fortification.

By 1870, the church was served by Priest Timofey Mikhailovich Metalnikov, Deacon Mikhail Nikolaevich Dobroslavin, and clerk Mikhail Grigorievich Pomerantsev. The parish had 263 households, with 882 men and 869 women living there. In 1880, Ivan Petrovich Okhotin became the priest, while Mikhail Grigorievich Pomerantsev remained the psalmist.

Since 1887, a church parish school has been operating in the village. In 1904, it had 64 boys and 2 girls enrolled. In 1901, an iron fence with a stone foundation was built around the church at the expense of the parishioners. In the same year, with the permission of the diocesan authorities, a stone chapel was built at the spring in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, also funded by the parishioners.

By 1895, the church was served by Priest Ivan Petrovich Okhotin, Deacon Mikhail Grigorievich Pomerantsev, and psalmist V.A. Pomerantsev. In 1904, the priest was A.F. Teplovsky, the deacon was I.F. Tsarevsky, the psalmist was V.A. Pomerantsev, and the church elder was I.P. Klokov. In 1916, the priest became Evgeny Alexeyevich Troitsky, and the deacon was Nikolai Alexeyevich Novinsky.
