In 1770, a large summer Kazan church was built with funds from the descendants of the Naryshkin family, with the participation of local parishioners. The church had three altars: in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the Savior Not Made by Hands, and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The uniqueness of this church lies in the fact that it has long housed the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, known as the Kurbskaya, which was considered miraculous. This icon is now kept in the neighboring church of the village of Vasilyevsky.

The Kazan church is an interesting architectural structure with a 16-petal plan, which local residents call round. Unfortunately, the name of the architect is unknown. The church impresses with the beauty and richness of the frescoes that cover the walls from floor to ceiling, depicting scenes from the New and Old Testaments. The abundance of light and the elegance of the paintings give the interior a solemnity. Yaroslavl masters completed the frescoes in 1796 and 1799.

In 1929 and 1930, the church was closed, and valuable icons were decided to be destroyed. Later, a machine-tractor station was placed in the building, which lasted there for several years. For a long time, the church stood empty and began to deteriorate: the coverings of the domes were damaged, the drum of one of the side domes was almost completely lost, and the brickwork of the walls was partially destroyed, especially at the entrance porticoes.

Since 1988, discussions about restoring this 18th-century architectural monument began. The local administration allocated funds for restoration, but they were insufficient for the complete restoration of the church. In 1993, the work was suspended. Only the coverings of the domes, the drum of the side dome, and part of the wall masonry were restored. The church stood for a long time in scaffolding, evoking a sense of guilt and pain in everyone who saw its once majestic walls.

Almost nothing remains of the former splendor, and the church is in an emergency state. First and foremost, it is necessary to restore the roofing on all parts of the building.
