The ancient village is located in a picturesque area at the source of a small river, Lunka. Due to its favorable location, it prospered economically in the 19th and 20th centuries, with local fairs held every Sunday in the town square. Today, the only reminders of its former prosperity are the Kazan Mother of God Church with an altar in honor of Saint Nicholas and several wooden houses richly adorned with northern carvings.

The village church was built in 1808 with funds from the parishioners. In the same year, a stone chapel was erected, which has not survived to this day. During the Soviet era, the church's refectory and bell tower were dismantled, but the main structure with five domes and the altar part remained. The main structure and apse are decorated with pilasters and decorative elements, while the windows and frames still have wrought iron grilles. The drums of the five domes of the main structure are also adorned with pilasters. Since 1936, the church was used as a grain storage facility. The burial site of the priest of the Kazan Church, P.Z. Vinogradov, has been preserved near the altar part.

A church parish school also operated in the village. Despite the presence of the parish church and school, Khabarovo and the Khabarovo volost were among the centers of schism in the Danilovsky district.
