Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Fomikha

Фото 1
A stone church with a bell tower and fence was built in the village in 1830, replacing the old wooden church thanks to the efforts of the parishioners. The church has two altars: the main one in the cold section in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, and in the warm refectory, in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church was well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books. Among the ancient vessels were a chalice and a star from 1776. The church's documents included copies of the metric books from 1802 and confession lists from 1809; an inventory of church property was compiled in 1865. In 1886, a church parish school opened in the village.
