The stone church, built in 1877 by Saint Ignatius Bryanchaninov, replaced the old Iver Church. In the late 1920s and mid-1930s, it began to be dismantled for bricks to construct a bathhouse in the village of Krasny Profintern. However, the walls of the church proved so sturdy that further dismantling became impossible, and a decision was made to blow it up. In the summer of 1940, a special demolition team arrived at the monastery, which placed explosives in holes drilled into the walls of the Iver Mother of God Church and carried out its destruction. The main dome of the church ended up in the lower basement.

On the site of the destroyed church, a new Iver Church was built. In March 2014, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Yaroslavl and Rostov served the Divine Liturgy there for the first time. On May 17, the bishop conducted the rite of great consecration and served the Divine Liturgy again in the consecrated church.

From 2009 to 2014, a new four-pillar single-domed single-apsidal church was erected, which replicates the forms of the Novgorod Church of Theodore Stratilates on the Ruchyu. The great consecration took place on May 17, 2014.
