The church in the name of John the Baptist and the Lord's Forerunner was built in 1846. According to archival data, the parish belonged to the Old Believers. In 1934, the church was closed, and the bell tower was destroyed. This stone Forerunner's church is recognized as a monument of history and culture of regional significance.

In 1995, the parish was registered with the Ministry of Justice as Orthodox. Restoration work began in 2000, and services resumed in 2001. From 2000 to 2009, the roof was renovated, a dome with a cross was installed over the church's square, plastering and whitewashing of the walls and ceilings were carried out inside, exterior whitewashing was also completed, and an iconostasis was installed.

Currently, the construction of the bell tower and the parish dining building is ongoing, where classrooms for the Sunday school are also planned to be located.
