In the 16th century, the village of Obrashikha belonged to the boyar F.I. Khabarov, who transferred it to the Spaso-Evfimiev Suzdal Monastery. The monastery's synodic of 1655 mentions: "the servant Fyodor Ivanovich Khabarov gave the village of Obraztsovo." In the monastery's income and expenditure books for 1697, it is noted: "From the village of Derevenki, 16 rubles were taken from the peasants; paid by Ivashko Gavrilov." In the documents of the Patriarchal Treasury from 1628, it is recorded "the church of the Nativity of John the Baptist in Obraztsovo, in the estate of the Spaso-Evfimiev Monastery of Suzdal."

In 1793, a new wooden church was built in the village of Obrashikha in honor of John the Baptist, and in 1794, an altar was arranged in it in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. This church existed until 1821 when it burned down.

In 1825, a stone church was built and consecrated in honor of the Forerunner and Baptizer of the Lord John, with an altar in the name of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. In 1845, thanks to the efforts of the parishioners, another altar was arranged in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. A stone bell tower was erected in 1858. In 1883, the church and bell tower were enclosed by a stone fence.

Copies of the metric books from 1801 and confession lists from 1827 have been preserved in full; an inventory of church property compiled in 1858 is kept in the church. The church lands comprise 33 desyatinas and 1600 square sazhen. The plan and boundary book for the land are located in the sacristy. The clergy staff includes a priest and a psalmist, with their maintenance costing up to 400 rubles per year. The parish has its own houses on church land. The parish includes the village and the village of Dushilovo, 2 versts from the village; the population consists of 453 men and 510 women. Since 1884, a church-parish school has been operating in the village.
