The village of Annino is located on the Peshcherka River, 20 versts from the city of Vladimir. Although the exact date of its founding is unknown, the village existed as early as the 17th century and in the second half of that century belonged to the Duma clerk Lukyan Golosov. By the end of the 18th century, it became part of the estate of Prince Nesvitsky.

The church in Annino is first mentioned in the patriarchal records of 1671, indicating its absence until that time. It was consecrated in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh with an altar dedicated to the Assumption of the Most Holy Theotokos. Originally wooden, a stone church was built in 1778 at the initiative of Prince Nesvitsky, which has survived to this day. An eight-pointed cross with a crescent moon is installed on the church. There are three altars in the church: the main one in the name of St. John the Baptist, and in the side altars, on the southern side in the name of St. Sergius and on the northern side in honor of the Assumption of the Mother of God, with the northern altar being warm.

Among the parish's relics, the icon of St. John the Baptist in a silver robe, adorned with two crosses set with precious stones, is especially venerated. The church library preserves a Gospel from 1657, bound in green velvet, as well as royal and patriarchal decrees establishing the Holy Synod. All church documents are in order: copies of the metric books since 1801 and confession lists since 1823.

For the clergy, half a desyatina of estate land, 30 desyatinas of arable land, and 3 desyatinas of haymaking land have been allocated; there is a plan for the land. According to the clergy's staff, there is a priest and a psalmist. The income of the clergy amounts to up to 450 rubles a year from services, liturgies, and land. The clergy live in their own houses on church land. The parish includes the village of Annino and the villages of Fomitsyna, Malgina, Psheniskova, and Koryakina, where according to the parish records, there are 530 men and 582 women.
