According to local historian Alexander Bazaev, since its founding in the mid-18th century, the village has been owned by the Golitsyn princes. In 1861, the peasants were freed from serfdom by landowners, State Councilor E.N. Solennikov and General-Adjutant I.G. Bibikov. Until the early 20th century, the village and surrounding lands belonged to M.I. and S.I. Bibikov.

The Trinity Church is a monument of urban planning and architecture. According to the 'Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese' for 1904, there was a stone church in the village in honor of the Life-Giving Trinity, which was of the same faith, although other sources state it was dedicated to the Sign of the Most Holy Theotokos. The church was built in the first half of the 19th century, in 1838, and the bell tower in 1905.

According to Vladimir Muromtsev, in 1841, the Church of the Holy Trinity, known as the Trinity Church, was erected in Pashutino. His ancestor, Ivan Ioannovich Ternovsky, served in this church from 1855 to 1860 and then from 1876 to 1880, where he died and is presumably buried near the church. The Trinity Church was destroyed in 1938, and the bricks were used for the construction of collective farm buildings.

In 1838 and 1843, a church in honor of the Icon of the Mother of God 'Sign' was built in Pashutino. According to local residents, its construction was initiated by Ardatov merchant Andrey Kolmykov in memory of his son Leonty, who was ill and then passed away. The Church of the Icon of the Mother of God 'Sign' has survived thanks to the protection of the villagers and its sturdy masonry.
