Yuryevskaya sloboda is located on the Isha River and near wells, one and a half versts from Rostov, on the Uglich highway. It has 39 households, 125 residents, and 127 plots of land.

In the village, there is a five-domed stone church with a bell tower, dedicated to the great martyr George and St. Theodore Stratilates. It was built in 1828 by the Rostov merchant Fyodor Borisovich Myasnikov. Previously, there was a wooden church on this site, as evidenced by a decree from Metropolitan of Rostov Arsenius, allowing the parishioners of Yuryevskaya sloboda to replace the old wooden church with a new one, also wooden, in honor of St. George the Victorious.

Every year on August 16, a procession is held around the village. The church owns 36 desyatins of land and serves parishioners from three settlements. Since 1877, a school has been operating in Yuryevskaya sloboda. The village is called a sloboda because it previously belonged to the Avramievsky Rostov Monastery.

In the local cemetery, next to the church, Fyodor Borisovich Myasnikov and his wife are buried. He was the builder of the temple and previously held the position of mayor of Rostov. Emperor Alexander I stayed at his house in Rostov.
