The Church of Epiphanius of Cyprus was built in 1645 next to the Church of Vladimir, on the site of the burial of Prince Fyodor Andreyevich Telyatevsky. Its construction was carried out by a team of village stonemasons from the estate of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery under the guidance of Yakov Kostousov.

This small church largely replicates the architectural and structural design of the Vladimir chapel, but with slightly increased dimensions. Only a few details, such as the small half-columns on the drum, indicate that the stonemasons of the 17th century saw something greater than just the buildings of the Kirillo-Belozersky Monastery.

The monument has been well preserved to this day. Later changes mainly concern the replacement of the roof: instead of the previous three-tiered kokoshnik covering, a four-pitched roof was installed. The interior of the church has been poorly preserved, as it was not painted. The iconostasis has survived to our time unchanged. An important place in the church was occupied by the tomb of Prince Telyatevsky, covered with scarlet cloth. The decorative furnishings also included chandeliers, lamps, and candlesticks with ornate designs.
