In the early 17th century, the first church dedicated to the holy great martyr Dimitri of Thessalonica was built in the village of Dmitrievskoye. It was a wooden church, which was replaced in 1735 by a new, more complex structure. On the gabled roof, there was an octagonal belfry topped with a small cylinder with a dome and a cross. The belfry was covered with a tent roof, and the church was adorned with an original porch and narthex. The church had two altars: one in honor of the Epiphany and the other in honor of St. Dimitri of Thessalonica. In the late 1920s and early 1930s, the wooden church burned down.

In 1858, a stone church was built in Dmitrievskoye thanks to the efforts of parishioners and a donation of 4000 rubles from Archimandrite Dionysius of the Makaryev-Unzhensky Monastery. The church had three altars: in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity, in honor of the Assumption of the Mother of God, and St. Dimitri of Thessalonica. The parish had 2221 men and 2497 women, as well as 28 parish villages.

Angelina Ivanovna Starostina, a former resident of the village, recalled that the church was very beautiful both outside and inside. The windows were decorated with colored glass, and the stoves were adorned with tiles. In the center of the narthex, there was a tomb with relics, above which hung a chandelier, and icons were placed on the walls. The ceiling was decorated with images of angels and cherubim. The main decoration was the Royal Gates, covered with gold leaf and tiles.

Near the churches, there was a cemetery for noble people, and at the altar of the stone church, there were two family crypts of the landowners Zakharins. One of the monuments was adorned with a sculpture of a grieving angel made of white marble.

In 1939, the dome of the stone church was removed, and the church itself was blown up. The bricks were used to build a two-story building that housed a transit prison. That same year, the Zakharin crypts were opened in hopes of finding gold, but nothing was discovered. The last owner of the estate was buried in a beautiful military uniform, but without a saber.

In 1937, the priest of the Dmitrievskaya church, Ivan Pavlovich Pospelov, was arrested and executed. The same fate befell the psalmists Tardov and Dubrovina.
