The new church, although it looks attractive, still needs technical improvements, and its construction faced significant difficulties. However, the determination of the parishioners was so strong that the opening and consecration of the temple were announced on local television back in 2006. The church is being built on the banks of the Klyazma River in a park area, near the memorial of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and the old Resurrection Church. The graceful silhouette of the Church of the Sovereign Icon of the Mother of God is noticeable to everyone entering Sobinka from afar.
