The village of Zolotaya Griva is located on the Klyazma River, 3 versts from the district town of Vyazniki and 105 versts from Vladimir. Until 1702, the villages belonging to the Zolotov parish were part of the Borisoglebskaya Monastery parish, where a separate white priest served them. In 1702, a decision was made prohibiting their visits to the monastery, so in 1703 they built their own church in the wasteland of Yazvitskaya Griva, also known as Zolotovo. The church was consecrated in 1704 in honor of the blessed princes Boris and Gleb. A priest and a deacon were appointed to the new church, and the parish included 7 villages with 64 peasant households. The clergy were allocated haymaking land for 103 stacks and about 2 desyatins of forest.

In 1707, another warm wooden church was built next to the church in honor of the holy martyrs Flora and Lavra. In 1840, a stone temple was built on the site of these wooden churches. The temple has two altars: the main one in honor of the blessed princes Boris and Gleb, and in the warm chapel, in honor of the holy martyrs Flora and Lavra.

The church is well supplied with utensils, vestments, holy icons, and liturgical books, but there is nothing particularly ancient or valuable in it. According to the staff, the parish provides for a priest and a psalmist. Their maintenance is ensured by a salary from the treasury of 400 rubles, a capital of 1210 rubles, as well as income from land and services amounting to up to 380 rubles per year. The clergy members have their own houses on church land. The parish includes the villages: Degyarny, Rameni, Maly Udol, Bolshoy Udol, Artemkovo, Zaborochye, and Fedorovo, where the clerical records list 562 men and 651 women. A literacy school also operates in the parish.
