In the 1930s, the fate of the clergy who renounced their orders remained difficult. In June 1933, Parfeniy Petrovich Svyatukhin, a former deacon and foreman of the suburban estate at the Lakina factory, wrote a complaint to M.I. Kalinin. Although the text of the complaint has not survived, on October 14 of the same year, Svyatukhin again appealed to Kalinin: "I am writing again with a request to return the property taken from my family, especially the cow with the calf, without which my children are starving and going to school hungry. 300 grams of bread without milk is clearly not enough for them. The cow was taken from me unlawfully. In 1932, I did not engage in agriculture, but worked at the Lakina factory, although my family lived in the village of Zarechny. I did not have and do not have my own house. I was taxed for serving as a deacon in Perniki for three years. Since January 1, 1930, I voluntarily left this position and have been working at the Lakina factory since then. My wife and daughter also work at the factory, while my son teaches at the FZS at the Lakina factory and studies at the art college in Ivanovo-Voznesensk. Three children study at the school at the Lakina factory. Now the whole family lives in a damp, cold basement in the village of Undole, house No. 130. Living conditions are worsening because my wife and children were deprived of the last cow that fed them. I ask for the unlawfully seized property to be returned, especially the cow with the calf, so that the children can eat properly and study." Apparently, P.P. Svyatukhin was not returned the cow with the calf and other property taken from him as a former servant of the cult.
