The village of Peresypkino First is first mentioned in the records of 1702, which refer to the chapel of the Epiphany of the Lord in the village of Peresypkino-Kovarskoye. Over time, the village grew, and in 1765, a wooden church of simple architecture was built, which was reconstructed in 1843 and 1895. In the Church of the Epiphany of the Lord, with chapels in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and Archangel Michael, a church school and charity were active. In the 1930s, the church was closed, but services resumed in 1947. It was closed again in 1962. During different periods, the church building housed a grain storage and a village club.

Since November 19, 1989, the parish has been active again in the village. On October 22, 2011, Bishop Theodosius of Tambov and Michurinsk performed the consecration of a new spacious wooden church in honor of the Epiphany of the Lord.
