The village of Kadomtsevo, located 18 versts from Ufa, has been known since the early 17th century. In 1621-1622, peasant Stefan found the icon of the Kazan Mother of God here, after which he struck a holy spring that has not dried up for almost 400 years. The icon was moved to the Ilyinsky church, and a wooden Kazan-Mother of God church was built nearby. This icon, one of four miraculous ones in the Ufa region, repeatedly saved the city and the village of Bogorodskoye from enemies, particularly known for saving them from the Seityovsky uprising in the 1670s. The veneration of the icon was so great that between 1688 and 1707, it was transferred to the Smolensky Cathedral in Ufa for worship, leaving an exact copy in the village. Annual processions were held to the site of its discovery.

In 1841, after the construction of the Resurrection Cathedral, the icon was moved there, and processions to the village of Bogorodskoye began from the new cathedral on July 8. Between 1725 and 1727, a new wooden church with a Nikolsky chapel was built on the site of the old wooden church, and in 1773, the Ilyinsky church was renovated. However, both churches burned down on May 9, 1873.

On the site of the burned church, contractor S.M. Laryonov built a new brick Kazan-Mother of God church, which was consecrated in 1877. The church was designed in an eclectic style with elements of 17th-century Moscow Baroque, and the iconostases were made in the workshop of F.A. Korolev. In 1901, a brick chapel was built over the spring, and according to some sources, the church owned two more stone chapels erected in the 1900s. Processions with the icon continued for almost a hundred years, covering the villages and hamlets of the Ufa and Birsk districts. One of the last rectors in the 1920s was the new martyr Father Alexei Kulyasov Gorshunov.

In the early 1930s, the village of Bogorodskoye became part of Ufa and was renamed 'Motornoe', later changed to 'Inors'. In 1933, the church was closed, deprived of its five domes and bell tower. The building was used as a school for mentally disabled children, and the holy spring was filled with concrete and turned into a dump. The miraculous icon of the Kazan Mother of God disappeared. In August 1990, thanks to the intervention of B.N. Yeltsin, the building was returned to the Orthodox Church. The first restoration took place from 1990 to 1997, and the second from 2007 to 2010.
