The village of Ivanovskoye was considered prosperous, especially among the former estate peasants of the first community. By 1884, this community had 152 households and 873 residents, as well as 2,191 desyatinas of land, of which 1,539 desyatinas were arable. If the land had been distributed per eater, as was done during the Soviet era, each would have received more than 2.5 desyatinas. Despite material losses, the community had 313 working horses, 221 cows, 720 sheep, not counting young stock, and 11 households engaged in beekeeping, having 83 hives. At that time, 23 people in the community were considered literate, and 8 continued their education.

In the second community, formerly owned by the nobility, there were 46 households and 284 residents, who owned 320 desyatinas of land, of which 268 desyatinas were arable. Here, each resident had half as much land as in the first community. The second community had 88 horses, 59 cows, 139 sheep, and 5 households engaged in beekeeping, having 125 hives.

In 1898, construction began on a stone church in the village to replace the burned wooden chapel, in memory of the miraculous event of October 17, 1898. On that inclement autumn day, the imperial train, departing from the Taronavka station of the Kursk-Kharkov-Donetsk railway, derailed at the 277th verst. During the accident, Alexander III was having breakfast with his family in the dining car. As the first car derailed, the other cars fell on both sides. The dining car remained on the track but was severely damaged: its base was thrown out, and everyone inside ended up on the embankment. The walls of the car separated from the roof and began to fall inward, but fortunately, they formed a shelter onto which the roof fell. Despite the destruction, no one was injured, which many considered a miracle that saved the tsar and his family from death and the country from turmoil.

In honor of this miraculous rescue of the emperor and his family, a church was laid in the village of Ivanovskoye, where many peasants were former estate peasants, meaning they belonged to the royal family and had good land provisions.

After the church was closed, the village significantly depopulated. In 1979, there were 185 residents. An attempt to revive the village with a drainage system was unsuccessful. The funds invested in the network of canals and special equipment did not meet expectations, and the pumping station fell into disrepair.
