The wooden church of the Annunciation parish in Norsky, dedicated to St. George the Victorious, is first mentioned in the Land Book of the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Monastery in 1627. In 1765, a stone church was built with funds from parishioners, the main altar of which was consecrated in honor of the Annunciation of the Mother of God. The southern warm chapel was dedicated to the apostles Peter and Paul, while the northern chapel was dedicated to St. George the Victorious. In the late 19th century, the Annunciation parish opened a charity for the poor and a free public library.

The exact date of the church's closure is not established, but it likely occurred in the late 1920s or early 1930s. In the following years, the church underwent significant changes: the domes were removed, the bell tower, fence, and Holy Gates were dismantled, and the church cemetery was liquidated.

In 1995, the church was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church. In recent years, the church building has been restored: a new dome was installed, the roof was repaired, windows and floors were updated, and the interior was renovated. The Soviet extension to the altar part was removed. On February 24, 2008, Archbishop Cyril of Yaroslavl and Rostov led the Divine Liturgy in the restored church.

Archpriest Vladimir Viktorovich Baranov, along with the rectors of neighboring churches, notes the significant charitable activities of Yuri Ivanovich Marchenko, the head of the ceramics factory in Norsky. Important support is also provided by V.G. Matrosov and M.Z. Levit.

The icon of the Mother of God, Joy of All Who Sorrow, is especially venerated in the parish.

The church is associated with a chapel built in the late 20th century. Recently, it was refurbished as part of a park complex project dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, on whose territory it is located. A large icon of St. George the Victorious has been installed in the chapel.
