The Archangel church in the Cossack settlement is first mentioned in the records of 1597-1598. The church housed icons, candles, books, vestments, and bells belonging to the parishioners. On the church grounds were houses: for priest Fyodor, deacon, sexton, prosphora-maker, as well as five cells where the poor lived, fed by the church.

According to the scribal books of 1640, the Archangel church was located in the Cossack Archangel settlement. It had 10 quarters of arable land, as well as 82 parish households with 172 residents and 5 households of the poor. They owned 6000 quarters of arable land and wild fields, as well as the same amount of hay stacks along the Rogovaya and Galinka rivers. The Cossacks of the Archangel and Nikolsk settlements owned a forest across the Skorodnaya river, stretching 2 versts in length and 1 in width.

According to the tax books of 1676, the Archangel church had 120 dragoon and Cossack households and 14 poor households, totaling 136 households. Under the new tax of 1676, the church was charged a tribute of 2 rubles 13 altyn 4 denga, which was 1 ruble 6 denga more than the previous tribute.

From the list of churches in 1734, it is evident that the number of parish households at the Archangel church had halved compared to the data from the tax books.

The current stone Archangel church with the Nikolsky chapel was built in 1816 by titular advisor Joakim Ivanov. Currently, the church land includes 3 dessiatinas of estate land and 19 dessiatinas of arable land without a plan and land registry, as well as 14 dessiatinas of "scribal" land with a plan and land registry, which are kept in the church sacristy.

The parish includes the Archangel settlement and part of Streletskaya, where 1127 men and 1257 women live in 296 households. According to the 1873 staff, the parish includes 1 priest and 2 psalmists.

After 1917, the church building was transferred to a group of believers, and in 1922, valuables were confiscated from it.
