Behind the altar of the Church of John the Baptist in the Small Ivanovsky Monastery, the family tomb of the Simonov merchants from Kirillov has been preserved, built in the late 19th century. It has a rectangular shape and is made of black sheet iron with a base of eight polished granite blocks of reddish-brown color on a brick foundation. The roof is eight-sided, with four barrel-shaped gables and forged grilles in the form of flags, decorated with circular elements and ornate crosses. In the center is an octagonal drum with a dome, which has eight arched openings. The entrance to the tomb from the west side is framed by a portal with double-grated doors, above which is the inscription "TOMB OF THE SIMONOVS". On the southern and northern sides, there are three arched window openings with forged grilles, and on the eastern wall, a six-pointed cross is secured. On the left corner, one of the twelve columns has been preserved, hollow, round in section, with a base and capital decorated with ornamental elements. Inside the tomb are five gravestones made of white marble. On their front side at the top is depicted a four-pointed cross, under which are rectangular plaques with names and dates of birth and death: "Kirill Alexandrovich Simonov born April 5, 1877, died December 11, 1907. Infant Pavel Alexandrovich", "Elizaveta Alexandrovna Simonova born March 1, 1884, died February 10, 1909", "Pavel Alekseevich Simonov born November 3, 1848, died September 8, 1909", "Alexander Alekseevich Simonov born August 29, 1838, died December 27, 1890".

The inscriptions are made with clear line and letter spacing: the intervals between lines are 5 centimeters, the height of capital letters is 6 centimeters, and lowercase letters range from 2 to 4.5 centimeters. Unfortunately, the tomb has not survived in its original form. The metal has rusted, glazing has been lost, several window grilles, 11 columns, and other decorative elements are missing. The tomb, being a monument of artistic casting from the 19th century, like many other gravestones, is in need of restoration.
