The Granovitaya Tower of the Kolomna Kremlin was built between 1525 and 1530. In 1822, by decision of the ecclesiastical authorities and with the consent of the civil authorities, the Brusensky Monastery was entrusted with the care of the adjacent Kremlin wall, including the Granovitaya Tower. Soon, the monastery arranged a chapel in the tower dedicated to St. Paraskeva Friday and installed a cross on it. The chapel housed a rare wooden sculpture of St. Paraskeva Friday. In 1921, the churches of the Brusensky Monastery and the Friday Chapel in the Granovitaya Tower were closed. After that, the carved image of St. Paraskeva Friday disappeared, and the chapel was looted. Later, the chapel space was used as a kerosene shop and then bricked up. Currently, the Granovitaya Tower is no longer part of the Brusensky Monastery.
