The Nicholas Chapel was built in 1907 with funds from parishioners on the site of a former "poor house" in memory of the victims of the plague that struck Lukha in 1665. The chapel was consecrated on Easter of the same year. It is located on the southern outskirts of the village, by the road leading to Palech, and is surrounded by wide fields. The structure has a square shape with sides measuring 3.8-3.85 meters. The walls are made of brick, plastered on the outside and painted with gray glue paint. Previously, the chapel was topped with a small onion dome, which has not survived to this day. Currently, the roof and ceilings have been altered. The entrance to the chapel is located on the western side, and the original cast iron door with two leaves has been preserved.

The exterior decor of the chapel's facades is of particular interest, executed in an eclectic style typical of the early 20th century. Classicist elements, such as the stepped cornice with dry biscuits and triangular pediments, have atypical proportions and are complemented by other decorative elements, giving the decor an eclectic character.

The Nicholas Chapel was recognized as a monument of cult architecture and was registered with the state in 1973. In the late 1930s, the chapel was closed, and in the late 1940s, it was repurposed as a warehouse for fuel and lubricants, which still operates today. The appearance of the chapel has changed little since its construction, except for the lost dome, the original roof, and the bricked-up window openings. The overall condition of the monument is assessed as satisfactory.
