The building of the hotel 'Central' was erected in the early 20th century and became one of the city's landmarks, as confirmed by old postcards. On the first floor, there was a dining room with the same name. During the Civil War, it housed the commandant's office of the whites. In the second half of the last century and up to the present, the building has been used for the city government. The exterior of the building has significantly changed compared to the original architect's design: a portico, different decor, and a third floor have been added.
