The main collection of the museum consists of about 1300 items, while the auxiliary collection has approximately 2200. The most significant and interesting collection for visitors is the archaeological one, based on items found in 1993 at the Kur-tolen III site in the Kazym River basin. These include iron, bronze, and ceramic artifacts dating back to the 6th and 7th centuries.

A particular pride of the Beloyarsky Historical and Local Lore Museum is the unique materials, samples of artistic metalwork from the early Iron Age and early medieval period, found near Lake Kislory. Among them are bronze images of birds, animals, and human figures.

The artistic collection of the museum includes works by Vladislav Savvovich Belykh, a local artist, author of the coat of arms of the city of Beloyarsky, and a member of the "Artists of Yugra" association. He was born on February 1, 1948, in the village of Nyaksimvol, Berezovsky District of Tyumen Region, and has lived in Beloyarsky since 1977. His works are represented in private collections and museums in Russia, Switzerland, and England. The museum holds about 50 works by Belykh, who has actively collaborated with the institution since its founding, assisting in the collection of funds and the arrangement of exhibitions. The artist has participated in more than 20 exhibitions, 8 of which were solo.

The museum's exhibition is organized according to the traditional scheme for such institutions and occupies two halls. The first hall is dedicated to the nature and history of the autonomous district, with an emphasis on Ob-Ugric ethnography. Here, thematic complexes are presented: "Legends of the Kazym Land," "Traditional Economy," "Household Items," "Decorative and Applied Arts," "Children's World," "Beliefs and Rites," as well as paleontological finds. The natural science and ecological themes are revealed through natural monuments, Lake Svetloe and Lake Svyatoe, the State Biological Reserve "Sorumskiy," and the regional natural park "Numto."

In the second hall, visitors can learn about the history, current state, and prospects of the city of Beloyarsky. The city is located in a historical place where a large settlement of Ob-Ugric people once existed, followed by Russian newcomers, the Yuil settlement. The history of this settlement remains little studied, but it is known that in the 15th and 16th centuries it existed as a military center. G.F. Miller mentions it in "The History of Siberia," and N.A. Abramov refers to it as an "ancient Ostyak town." In the late 16th century, Cossacks built a fortified winter dwelling here for collecting yasak, and in the early 18th century, a fort that lasted until 1774. The Ostyak town became a settlement of the Russian fort, comprising over a hundred buildings and existing until the early 20th century. The remains of the fort in the form of two towers were transported to the historical and architectural museum of Novosibirsk Akademgorodok in the 1970s.

During a bus tour of the city, guests can see the attractions that the Beloyarsky residents are proud of: the Culture and Leisure Center "Kamerton," opened in 1998, the city stadium and sports hall "Olympus," the sports complex, the sixth microdistrict with brightly decorated houses, the Church of the Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, Nikolai Stepanovich Barsukov Street, the administrative building of NGDU "RitekBeloyarskneft," the School of Arts, the memorial complex, the House of Culture "Gazovik," and the natural monument, the system of lakes Un-Novyinklor and Ai-Novyinklor, whose water is unique in its hydrochemical characteristics.
