The MBUK "Atyashevo LHM" was opened in May 2003 and has a collection of approximately 4,000 exhibits. The museum is visited by about 4,700 people annually. The exhibitions occupy an area of 470 square meters and are located in four halls. In the ethnography hall, you can see items illustrating the life, everyday life, and culture of the region in the 19th and 20th centuries: ancient agricultural and craft tools, traditional peasant utensils, clay dishes, tools for women's handicrafts, clothing, and footwear. There is also a rich collection of works by local taxidermist A. V. Karpinchik.

In the exhibition hall, you can see works by masters of visual and applied arts, graphics by artist Viktor Ivanovich Vechkanov, and paintings by Mikhail Dmitrievich Ponetaikin. The Hall of Military Glory contains extensive materials about participants in World War I and the Great Patriotic War, as well as soldiers who took part in conflicts in Afghanistan and Chechnya, and liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster. Here, photographs, archival documents, awards, and front-line letters are presented, supplemented by models of weapons and finds from search teams. There is also a corner dedicated to the everyday life of wartime.

In the hall "History and Modernity of the District," materials reflecting the development of institutions, organizations, and enterprises during different periods of their existence are collected. In one part of the hall, you can see copies of works by the famous sculptor S. D. Erzia.
