Initially a separate structural unit, the 'Art Gallery '13-A' began its work as the Krasnoyarsk Museum and Exhibition Center. In August 1978, an exhibition dedicated to the 350th anniversary of Krasnoyarsk was organized, titled 'Krasnoyarsk, Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow.'

In 1983, a branch of the city exhibition hall opened at 13-A Metallurgov Avenue in the Green Grove area. The first exhibition that left a lasting impression on the residents of Krasnoyarsk was dedicated to Armenian artists and was called 'Fairy Tale in Wood.' In 1989, the building of the Cathedral was transferred to the Krasnoyarsk Diocese, and the city exhibition hall completely moved to 13-A Metallurgov Avenue, where it operates to this day. In 2018, the Municipal Budgetary Institution of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Museum and Exhibition Center was renamed the Art Gallery '13-A.'

The gallery serves as an exhibition space for creative projects and artists. Up to 15 exhibitions are held annually on its premises. Special attention is given to the works of Siberian, especially Krasnoyarsk, artists. Honored Artist of Russia Toivo Ryannel held his anniversary exhibition 'My White Light' here. Well-known Krasnoyarsk artists such as Valery Pilipchuk, Vladimir Bychinsky, Sergey Gorbatko, and others have also exhibited their works multiple times.

The Art Gallery '13-A' organizes mass events, including creative competitions, meetings with art figures, lectures, and various master classes.
