Many cities have a unique architectural style, shaped by majestic train stations, massive factories, and ancient fortresses. However, the city of Zlynka in the Bryansk region stands out among them. There are no stations or factories here, but Zlynka can charm any traveler. Since ancient times, this settlement has been renowned for its masters of architecture and woodcarving, which have given the city a vibrant appearance.

Each house in Zlynka is a unique work of art. For example, the polyclinic building is adorned with an elegant attic featuring a protruding balcony, and the pediments are designed in the form of ancient kokoshniks. Special attention is deserved by the merchant's house, which now houses the local administration. This tower is like something out of a fairy tale: imagination, fine craftsmanship, and rich decoration make it a true architectural monument. And all of this was created without modern tools and technologies.

Surprisingly, such houses were often presented by Russian delegations at World Expos not only as pavilions but also as national exhibits. For the residents of Zlynka, they were simply residential buildings.

Today, some secrets of the craftsmanship of Zlynka's 19th-century carpenters have been lost, but it is pleasing that most unique Russian towers have survived and continue to delight the eye in the 21st century.
