In Azov, one of the notable landmarks is a pre-revolutionary building, constructed in 1912 for the entrepreneur Pilipenko. Later, he sold it to another wealthy resident of Azov, Pashkov, who became the last private owner of the estate before the revolution. With the arrival of Soviet power, the building was requisitioned and converted into a paint factory. Today, it is once again in private hands, has been well preserved, and recently received the status of a regional architectural heritage site.
