In the early 20th century, Russia achieved significant progress in technical development. Even then, agricultural machines began to be sold in the country, and one of the first to engage in their sale was the Azov merchant Nikolai Leyman. In his store, one could find items such as the Darby steam plow, John Fowler's direct plowing system, and the Holt Caterpillar tractor.

Nikolai Leyman lived in a house on the Moscow tract, which was built at his request in 1908. The building, executed in a merchant style, did not have any particular architectural refinements. After the establishment of Soviet power, the house was confiscated, and Leyman's further fate remains unknown. Today, the building is once again privately owned and included in the list of cultural heritage sites of regional significance.
