On Chekhov Street in Azov stands a magnificent pre-revolutionary house, once home to merchant Maliev. Built in 1908, this house is a regional architectural heritage site in the Rostov region. Today, it houses a local court district.
The first and most famous owner of the house was merchant Maliev, who ran a haberdashery store at the beginning of the last century. At that time, items such as ties, gloves, scarves, and various accessories were at the height of fashion. Some manufacturers even created special devices for mustaches, so men could avoid getting them dirty while eating, or clips for long women's skirts.
