On Zakrutkin Street in Nakhichevan stands a mansion where the famous Rostov architect Arutyun Zakiev lived for some time. This building, erected in the last quarter of the 19th century, has survived to this day. Although the name of its creator is unknown, it can be confidently said that it is one of the most beautiful examples of pre-revolutionary architecture in Rostov.

Today, this former home of architect Zakiev houses the Health Department of Rostov-on-Don, and the building still delights the eye with its appearance.
