The residential house of Ivan and Anna Bostrikins, built in 1913 in the center of Rostov-on-Don, is one of the most beautiful pre-revolutionary architectural monuments in the city. According to most sources, the couple lived in this house, although it is sometimes mentioned that it was also used as a rental property. This can be confusing, as in 1914 the Bostrikins erected another three-story building nearby, which was definitely a rental property. Both buildings are located along the red line of Pushkinskaya Street and create a magnificent architectural composition, being part of the overall appearance of the street. During Soviet times, the houses were confiscated and turned into communal apartments. Today, they once again delight with their beauty, especially the original balconies of the Bostrikins' house, and are included in the list of cultural heritage sites of regional significance.
